PARENT EDUCATION SERIES · ELEMENTARY

Raising Safe Digital Citizens

Helping parents of elementary-age children teach responsibility, internet safety, and positive digital behavior as kids start exploring the web on their own.

WHY THIS PROGRAM?

The elementary years are when independence begins.

As kids start using school platforms, games, and their first devices on their own, parents are often left wondering what's safe, what's age-appropriate, and how to stay involved without hovering.

This three-part interactive series helps parents set up the right safeguards, open honest conversations about online behavior, and build a family approach to digital citizenship together.

PARENTS WILL...
Build their own site on Kids Got Web, configuring real privacy and sharing settings
Understand age-appropriate internet safety practices
Set up parental controls and privacy settings
Talk with their child about kindness and digital citizenship
Recognize warning signs of cyberbullying or unsafe contact
Create a family media agreement
A HANDS-ON LEARNING EXPERIENCE

Parents build their own site on Kids Got Web, using the same privacy and sharing settings their child will use.

You'll set up profile privacy, decide what's safe to share, and configure the parental controls your child's page will run under—so when your child starts building on the same platform, you already know exactly what they're seeing and choosing.

The goal isn't restriction—it's building trust and open communication.
